Chapter 1: General rules
Article 1: Aim
These Terms of Use are intended to establish the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Yonsei University K-NIBRT Project Team (hereinafter referred to as the "Training Center") and service users (hereinafter referred to as "Members") in relation to the use of courses and information (hereinafter referred to as "Services") provided through the yonsei2024.uzn.kr site operated by the Training Center.
Article 2: Definition of Terms
The definitions of the terms used in these Terms of Use are as follows:
- 'ID' refers to a combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member and approved by the Institute for member identification and service usage.
- 'Password' refers to a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters set by the Member to protect their privacy.
- 'Member' refers to a user who has read these Terms and registered on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr site.
Article 3: Effectiveness and Modification of the Terms Condition
The definitions of terms used in these terms and conditions are as follows
- These Terms shall take effect upon publication at the bottom of the yonsei2024.uzn.kr site.
- The effectiveness of any modifications to these Terms will be announced via the website's notices. By checking "Do you agree to the above terms?" during registration, the Member is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
- The Training Center may amend these terms and conditions for valid reasons. In such cases, the revised terms will take effect as member terms through the announcements on the website and the notification of the amendments.
- If you do not agree to these terms, you may not be able to complete the membership registration process smoothly.
Article 4. Rules and regulations outside the Terms and Conditions
Matters not specified in these terms and conditions shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations and the specified usage guidelines.
Chapter 2: Rights and Duties of Members
Article 1: Duties of Members
All members registered on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr site shall have the following obligations:
- Member information must be truthful. In particular, using another person's resident registration number fraudulently is subject to criminal penalties.
- Members shall respect others and shall not infringe on the rights of others.
- Members shall adhere to netiquette and shall not violate intellectual property rights.
- Members shall not disclose or post obscene or violent messages, images, audio, or any other information that violates social ethics.
- Members shall comply with the terms and conditions and usage guidelines provided by the Training Center.
Article 2: Grounds for Forced Membership Termination
Members who engage in any of the following actions may have their membership revoked without prior notice and may face restrictions on future registration:
- Intentionally failing to fulfill the "Duties of Members" outlined in Article 1, Chapter 2.
- Deliberately disrupting the operation of the yonsei2024.uzn.kr site.
- Engaging in deceptive acts, such as posting false advertisements or spreading false information.
- Obtaining membership through illegal means.
- Collecting or storing the personal information of other members.
- Committing any other acts deemed unacceptable by the Training Center for membership.
Article 3: Grounds for Ineligibility for Membership
The following are grounds for membership ineligibility:
- Attempting to register as a corporation.
- Loss of membership due to forced termination based on "Grounds for Forced Termination of Membership."
- Children under the age of 14.
- Failure to agree to the terms and conditions.
Article 4: Method of Registering as a New Member
This applies to users attempting to register for the first time. Only users who do not fall under the grounds for membership ineligibility are allowed to register as new members. New membership registration is conducted by accessing the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website and selecting the "Sign Up" menu.
Article 5: Member Rights
- Members registered on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website can log in and access the basic services provided.
- All members can provide feedback on the services offered by the training center.
- All members can participate in paid courses by paying the tuition fees set by the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website.
- Other rights of members are subject to the usage guidelines.
Article 6: Membership Withdrawal and Usage Restrictions
Members can apply for withdrawal by following the standard termination procedure through the training center's personal information management officer. Upon withdrawal, the training center promptly deletes the member's personal information.
Chapter 3: Role of the Training Center
Article 1: Duties of the Training Center
The training center is obligated to provide continuous services to users who have successfully registered as members through legitimate methods.
- The training center performs the role of operator and administrator for the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website.
- The training center will ensure that services on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- The training center has the right to manage user-generated posts on the website as necessary for the smooth operation of the site.
- The training center is responsible for protecting user personal information by implementing a clear privacy policy.
Article 2: Post Management
Even if a member withdraws from the site, the training center will not delete the posts made by the member.
The training center has the right to delete, modify, or move posts under the following circumstances:
- Posts that do not align with the intended purpose of the bulletin board.
- Posts that have been flagged by the Information Communication Ethics Committee.
- Posts that contain offensive language, obscenities, or content that may cause discomfort to others.
- Posts that reveal the personal information of others without consent.
- Posts that contain illegal software, cracked files, etc.
- Posts deemed inappropriate by the training center.
Article 4: Service Management
Section 1: Types of Services Provided
The training center provides different services based on membership status.
- Services available without logging in include the 'Course Information' and 'Notices, FAQs'. These can be accessed without membership registration.
- After logging in, members can access additional services such as online learning, assessment participation, and submitting Q&A. Additionally, members can anonymously leave posts for administrators or send messages.
Section 2: Service Limitations
The course services provided on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website are valid only for online use. If the member attempts to access the services offline, the training center is not obligated to provide offline services.
Section 3: Copyright of Services
The training center strictly prohibits the unauthorized distribution of content and materials related to online courses and assessments.
Section 4: Service Interruption
The training center may suspend some or all services under the following circumstances:
- If there are issues with information communication facilities or electrical infrastructure.
- If there are risks to the server system such as hacking or viruses.
- If natural disasters such as war, floods, lightning, or earthquakes make it impossible to provide services.
- If server patching or upgrades are deemed necessary for security.
- If there are indications from the Information Communication Ethics Committee.
- If the hosting company stops providing services.
- If any other situation arises where the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website cannot be operated.
Article 5: Exemption from Liability
The training center is exempt from liability for any dissatisfaction members may have with the results of the services.
- All services provided on the yonsei2024.uzn.kr website are created by the training center, and some content may overlap with other websites or books. However, the training center does not recognize intellectual property rights for such overlapping parts.
- Even if the content overlaps with other websites or books, members' demands for compensation will not be acknowledged.
