Yonsei University's K-NIBRT Project has successfully completed its first hands-on training program for bioprocess professionals, graduating a total of 92 trainees.
The program, named "2025 Antibody Process Hands-on Training, 1st Class," took place over two weeks from May 12th to May 23rd. The course is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first hands-on training program held since the official opening of Yonsei University's Bioprocess Workforce Development Center.
The training was structured around four practical modules: Animal Cell Culture, Purification, Final Formulation, and Bioanalysis. Trainees gained direct experience with core technologies spanning the entire biopharmaceutical production process. The curriculum was specifically designed to reflect real-world industrial procedures, earning praise for its ability to enhance practical understanding and on-site applicability.
The Yonsei University K-NIBRT Project aims to become Korea's leading educational institution by training approximately 2,000 global bio-specialists annually. The center plans to continuously expand its hands-on training programs to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
"The bio-industry is changing rapidly, which is increasing the demand for field-ready talent with both a deep understanding of bioprocesses and strong practical skills," said Han Kyun-hee, the project director. "We will continue to produce talent that can be immediately integrated into the industry through advanced, hands-on education."
