K-NIBRT
Curriculum
Localization of the NIBRT curriculum of Korea
  • The NCS (National Competency Standard) is a government framework that systematized the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to perform duties in the industrial field. It aims to foster human resources tailored to industrial needs by aligning education, training, career development, and qualifications.
  • Of the 24 categories currently defined in the NCS, the healthcare and chemical sectors are closely related to the pharmaceutical bio-industry. However, a distinct classification for the pharmaceutical bio-industry itself has not yet been developed.
  • The pharmaceutical bio-industry is regulated by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and differs significantly from the chemical industry in its job characteristics. Due to strict safety requirements for human health, it must follow independent regulatory standards. Therefore, the pharmaceutical bio-industry should be separately classified, and its own set of NCS must be established.
  • The National Qulification Framework (NFQ) is a standardized system that ensures consistency among academic degrees, certifications, work experience, and training outcomes, all based on the NCS.
