Biosketch

• Hotcherl Jeong is currently an Invited Professor of Pharmacy, Ewha Womans University and Adjunct Professor of K-NIBRT, Yonsei University.
  
  His long-term research interests involve genetics/genomics and pharmacogenomics. He earned his B.S. in pharmacy from Sungkyunkwan University and his Ph.D. in molecular biology from University of Utah under Dr. John Roth. He was awarded the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Award for outstanding graduate work. Then, he pursued his postdoctoral work at UCSF under Dr. Ira Herskowitz and UC Berkeley under Dr. Jasper Rine. All three advisors are internationally recognized leaders in the field of genetics. After a seven-year stint in industry (in both US and Korea), he transited into academia in 2014. Since 2011, he has taught courses on molecular biology, biotechnology, and pharmacogenomics at Ewha, Yonsei, and various training programs.
